Regarding the building painting, I received 45 responses. 15 favored white and 20 favored a color. (Some didn't respond at all and others said that the 2 spouses couldn't agree!) That was not a formal vote but simply a 'straw poll' to determine if we needed to go further with the color issue. I think the board will agree that we do need to present a color change to the owners formally. That would be done by mail through Moore Property. The problem is how to validly do it. We can't offer several different colors and then select the one that gets the most votes unless that number happens to exceed 22. One possibility would be for the board and the committee to pick one color and offer that to the owners. If it receives 22 or more votes, that would be the color choice, otherwise we'd remain with white. I presume we'll discuss other paths to the answer as well. Another thought that I'm having is one that has been suggested by a couple owners: Hire a color advisor. I don't mean just to pick a color but to, perhaps, develop an image of our building with different shades or color variations. Sounds crazy but it might not be. There is a condo, Beau Mer, across from the new Hyatt Hotel on 41 that used to be a putrid salmon color. They hired our architect, MHK, to do some work for them including paint design and the building now has different 'panelling' that is extremely attractive. All will be open for discussion, so please join us!
